Set of butterfly valves at our workshop

Butterfly valves can be used for isolating or regulating flow. The operation is quite similar to ball valves, but the closing mechanism takes the form of a disc instead of a ball. They are not as affected by temperature as this ones, but the closing element is always present within the flow, therefore a pressure drop is inevitably induced, regardless of the valve position.

Butterfly valves allows a quick shut off, and have a lower cost than other types of flow regulation valves, being lighter and with less moving parts, what means a lower support.

Babcock Valves produces three different types of butterfly valves:

Construction type Sizes ANSI Class
 Concentric 100  Concentric  24”-200” 150-600
 100 butterfly valve 100  Double excentric 24”-200” 150-600
Triple excentric 101  Triple excentric   24”-200” 150-600
